In children, it is extremely important to detect and correctly treat vision problems early. The brain learns to see during the first years of life. Problems that are not addressed before school entry can lead to significant visual impairments.
If you notice anything unusual, you should immediately take your child to an ophthalmologist. Unilateral vision impairments are particularly insidious because the child sees well with one eye and therefore behaves normally. For this reason, do not miss any of the recommended preventive examinations with your pediatrician or, if necessary, with an ophthalmologist.
