The brain learns to see during the first years of life. Problems that are not addressed before school entry can lead to significant visual impairments.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">If you notice anything unusual, you should immediately take your child to an ophthalmologist. Unilateral vision impairments are particularly insidious because the child sees well with one eye and therefore behaves normally.
